In the comments attached a sister was asking about Cobu and Ave offered her a lot of information.

As a result of Tod's very simple invitation, Ave wrote a very long post, and half way down indicated that she was writting it to Tod and Dave.

I will include her lengthy post here, and put in a different color any direct reference she made to us.

Since Ave refused to include our rebuttal reply that we made twice to her blog, I will make my own comments within the letter that she had posted since May 28th, 2013 until now: May 20th, 2015 ~ Since she made false accusations within her post for all to see for two entire years I believe that we have every right to have our reply included, that's only fair, right or wrong?

Yet, the next day both of our rebuttal posts to what Ave had written "vanished" or were ejected by the moderator: Ave Hurley. It seemed very curious to us, that someone who claims faithfulness, Christianity, and being fair, was unwilling to keep the continuity of her blog and to allow us to reply to her where she made serious and judgmental comments about us that in truth actually applied to her.

Because I found it so contrary to a truthful witness, I sent her an email and she replied.

All of these correspondences I will include below with comments inserted.

First is the lengthy post that Ave Hurley was provoked to write, just because Tod made a simple one sentence post on her blog where he stated:

While it is essential for former members to come to the realization that they were manipulated by a madman for his own gain and that the service they thought they were offering up to God was done erantly by following a manipulative man who quenched the Spirit in others and caused them to doubt their own good common sense, it is still equally important to not go from one trapping into another, such as one false religious system into yet another one. Now Tod, when it comes to the website you have recommended, I found that a reply I had given on the closed membered x-cobu site had been taken and copied and presented on your site out of context and without affording me the continuation in explaining my position, as to why I reject the practices you and Dave have been committed to.

One other matter of point is that it was taken without expressed permission as everything discussed on x-cobu is not allowed to be legally copied to other sites. I was not asked permission not for further reply giving your site owner the last reply as though he were right which is meant to deceive the reader. The rules of the x-cobu site was broken away from, so that all threads could be presented and discussed to arrive at their conclusions was ended. When you or Dave or whoever took that reply and then present it to your followers, it deceptively challenges me to a reply which was not forthcoming, since I was never engaged to defend the gospel on these matters and never allowed to make further comment on your site and was not made aware of it, since it was illegally recopied in a manner that only allows your people to make their reply which then misprepresents what I said ~ by appearing to request further discussion while actually preventing it. That was very deceptive and as such it demonstrates falsiy in your religious practice there. That in itself is also sin.

While ‘oiling’ in and of itself is harmless and of little value, your members substitute it for the healing power of God in their lives. There is no amount of oil you can dump over one’s head that will actually heal them other than believing in the Holy Spirit’s healing power and not the ritual you and Dave push as a cure all.That in itself is holding a form of religion but in action denying its power~!!

How we see this rising up every where~!! Then to consider Mathew 24~ Read it again~! then go on to 1 Corinthians 6: 9-10 and compare that to what you see happening in the world around you. We are entering into living in desperate times.

Many hold wrongly onto the belief that when two are grinding at the wheel and one is taken that it in itself is a good thing – a rapture of sorts and while those holding onto a pre-trib rapture philosophy, they are failing to prepare for battle – the battle for their very souls that is coming to all of us as Jesus said “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. Remember when Jesus washed the apostles feet ? He told them that they needed to have their feet washed ~Why? Peter then, still not quite understanding, said to Jesus to wash his hands as well but Jesus told him that the body was clean [since Jesus came to save the world=his children] where we go in life holds with it whatever transgressions or trespasses we commit which by washing our feet, Jesus shows us that we will be forgiven our trespasses, knowing we will at times fail – for all have fallen short of the glory of God~ which is also why we need a Savior and why Jesus was brought into this world for us, as God so loved the world – not the physical land so much as those of us He created and live here.

Prayerfully approach the Bible, ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit to confirm in your heart the things I have said here and continue on to study and show yourself as a workman approved who can rightly divide the Word of Truth – that is to be able to find the corresponding verses which will confirm and further explain God’s plan for you in this world.

Ave

After reading some of the things Ave wrote above we posted a reply from our cell phone, which appeared as one solid brick, but after two days of checking back to her blog we noticed that the reply we made was still not included on her blog.

Since we kept a copy we sent it again, and saw that it was in the process of moderation. Yet that copy also was never posted on her blog.

I would also like to add that Ave is not in fellowship with us and has made many judgments that are based on heresay. For instance, in her post above she makes a statement about our practice of administering oil and prayer for those who ask to receive it, as we were counseled to offer after praying for those we knew were suffering after the oppressive experience in a cult.

Many who have received this oil blessing have testified to being comforted by it and it is directly written in scripture to offer this blessing, but Ave writes it in a negative way, saying that we look at it as a "cure all" which is very far from the truth, as I've even written within "Cynthia answers Mike Montoya, where I write very clearly that healing has to do with the faith of the individual, as the scripture also states.

Jas 5:14 Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord;
Jas 5:15 and the prayer of faith will save the sick man...

I just stumbled upon this post that I was not aware took place and although Tod had shared our website with someone who was seeking more information about Cobu, he does not recall reading what you posted, as his posts were both written in the morning and this reply you posted late the same night and he doesn’t recall ever seeing it.

As to your accusation of me illegally copying what you posted from a private site, you are mistaken.

I copied your scathing commentary about a prophecy delivered to our fellowship from Chris Blaise’s very open to the public site.

Yet on the subject of copying something posted on a private site, the truth is that Tod originally posted our prophecy on Mike Montoya’s xcobu One list and YOU my dear sister copied it from that private site and posted it with all of Your negative comments on Chris Blaise’s public site.

You did this without MY permission.

Nor did YOU contact me to make me aware that you did this.

Nor did you do the honorable thing of posting our prophecy on its own, as you found it, so that others could draw their own conclusions, without all of your biased and slanderous comments attached.

You stated that you had no opportunity to reply, yet our website has an email address on our contact page.

And everyone is able to read all the connecting comments right on Chris Blaise’s page where you posted it without my knowledge or permission.

My wife had been emailing you back then and even offered to discuss our prophecy with you at the time, but you had no interest in it, so the communication ended.

I find it sad that you have chosen to make so many judgements against we who seek God, read his word daily and have been blessed by many of our heartfelt prayers answered.

It is not necessary for you to reply, if you aren’t inclined to, but I felt moved to set this record straight.

Some who are reading this may not even know what this is about.

In a nut shell:

Our fellowship: Living Water, ministered to a brother and his family for close to 20 years and then he decided to move on and we gave him our blessing.

He then turned around and began to slander us personally and our ministry on one of the closed xcobu websites that we were not even a part of at the time, although a brother in our group: Tod Burros was.

During a prayer meeting there was a prophesy with regard to us receiving counsel about what to say or speak with regard to all the slanders that this brother was making against us and we were asked to post this prophesy on the site that this brother was using as his podeum.

Tod Burros posted the prophesy on the closed xcobu website, as we received it.

Ave Hurley copied the prophesy, added her own negative opinions of each and every line and then posted it on Chris Blaise’s public xcobu website.

We copied what she posted and Dave wrote his own comentary of what Ave Hurley wrote on the public website without any communication with us at all.

Then when Tod Burros saw that someone had an interest in Cobu issues, which is what our website is about, he merely shared our link, as I posted above what he had written.

Then Ave Hurley felt compeled, from that simple invitation, to write this lengthy post where she accused us of doing what she actually did.

This is the second attempt to include this post.
